Group running ads against Begich in Alaska

An advocacy group that does not disclose its donors says it is running a six-figure television ad buy in Alaska complaining about Democratic Sen. Mark Begich's support of President Obama judicial nominees.

The Washington, D.C.-based Judicial Crisis Network, which has also indicated a desire to possibly target Alaska Republican Sen. Lisa Murkowski, said it was running the ad for two weeks against Begich, The ad says "a vote for Obama's judges is a vote for Obama's unconstitutional, job-killing agenda."

Begich's campaign manager, Susanne Fleek-Green, said the advertisement is misleading. "Alaskans know Mark Begich is an independent voice who fights for their second amendment rights and has successfully fought the EPA for new resource development," she said in a written statement.
