Anselm named director of the state Division of Banking and Securities

The Department of Commerce, Community, and Economic Development recently promoted Ms. Kevin Anselm to director of the Division of Banking and Securities. She is based in Anchorage.

Kevin holds a Juris Doctor and Certificate in Dispute Resolution from Willamette University School of Law in Salem, Oregon. She has extensive experience in the world of finance and securities regulation, including serving as the division's operations manager and enforcement and securities chief.

The division charters, licenses, and examines state financial institutions and regulates the sales of securities, home mortgages, and money services. The division's mission is to protect and educate consumers of financial services and maintain safe and sound financial systems.
