Physician merges practice with Alaska Heart and Vascular Institute

Dr. Peter Marbarger recently merged his practice with the Alaska Heart and Vascular Institute, which is now proud to have this seasoned general and vascular surgeon as part of its team of expert physicians.

Dr. Marbarger has been practicing in Alaska for more than 32 years as a surgeon and will perform vascular surgical procedures at Providence Hospital and Alaska Regional Hospital in Anchorage. As a general and vascular surgeon, Dr. Marbarger will operate on blood vessels, including techniques for aneurysm repairs, in conjunction with the Alaska Heart and Vascular Institute's vascular intervention physicians.

Dr. Marbarger is originally from Elmhurst, Ill. He graduated from University of Illinois Medical School and completed his residency and fellowship at State University of New York Health Sciences Center.

"The association of Dr. Marbarger and the Alaska Heart and Vascular Institute provides for the complete assessment, medical and surgical treatment for patients with peripheral vascular disease. This complete service was previously unavailable in Alaska. Dr. Marbarger is also continuing his general surgery practice," said Alaska Heart Institute President Dr. Thomas Kramer.
