Letter: Our money would be better used on 'fundamental needs’ we face

I agree with Trina Williams. Our limited state financial resources need to target fundamental needs with logical priority, such as education and school safety (financing resource officers in public schools for example) and other needs that benefit as much of the community as possible.

The city of Anchorage should explore the financial feasibility of upgrading existing facilities to try to meet the needs the various groups of sports enthusiasts that use them.

I don’t understand how spending precious state money on brand new tennis courts is fiscally responsible. I agree with Ms. Demoski in that it should be up to the voters of Anchorage to determine how to best use these funds.

I missing something?
