A trooper was chasing a vehicle driven by a 60-year-old Willow woman early Wednesday when the woman spun around and rammed head-on into the trooper's patrol vehicle, injuring herself but not the trooper, according to Alaska State Troopers.
Dona Carnahan called 911 just after midnight saying that someone had taken a woman from her home, according to a statement by troopers.
A Talkeetna trooper went to Carnahan's home and tried to talk to her, but she drove off, troopers said.
Carnahan drove two miles before she turned her vehicle around and rammed the trooper's vehicle, which gave "significant" damage to both vehicles, troopers said.
The officer wasn't injured, but Carnahan had minor injuries and was found to have been drinking, according to troopers.
When the troopers searched Carnahan's vehicle, they found that there was a shotgun inside, troopers said.
Carnahan was arrested and taken to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility.
Troopers are currently investigating the incident.
