7 injured, 1 critical, after O'Malley Road crash

Seven people were injured, one seriously, after a two-vehicle crash on O'Malley Road Thursday night, authorities said.

The collision, between a pickup and a sedan, was reported at 6 p.m. and closed O'Malley Road between Lake Otis Parkway and Livingston Street, Anchorage police said in a news release.

Several people, all unidentified, were taken to the hospital, authorities said, including the sedan's front-seat passenger, who was in critical condition. The driver and two back-seat passengers of the car sustained non life-threatening injuries.

The three occupants of the pickup also sustained non life-threatening injuries.

O'Malley Road remained closed for several hours as police investigated and cleared the crash site.
