Kodiak man accused of dousing another with gas charged with attempted murder

KODIAK -- A 47-year-old Kodiak man is accused of pouring gasoline on another man.

The Kodiak Daily Mirror says Darin Wolfe is charged with attempted murder and assault.

According to court documents, police received a call from the victim Wednesday morning about the gasoline dousing.

Kodiak Police Chief Ronda Wallace says the man believed the person was going to set him on fire, so he ran.

The incident occurred outside the trailer in an area where police discovered drugs after serving search warrants in September.

Wallace says Wolfe was found hiding in a closet inside the trailer.

According to Wallace, the victim is in good condition but hurt his knee slipping and falling while running away from the scene.
