Letter: Dog park users, heed signage

I routinely walk my dog in Taku Campbell Park, which requires owners to leash their pets. Unfortunately I have noticed a huge increase in pet owners not using leashes in this park. It puts my dog at risk; he is small but thinks he is a lion and will chase a big dog if the dog sniffs him, which is the reason we will never go to the unleashed parks in town. Today my dog was charged by two dogs that resembled pit bulls and one actually pounced on him. The owners showed no remorse and acted as though I was in the wrong. My dog has been limping and I am sure I will need to get him medical attention. Thanks for being such responsible pet owners. Please use the unleashed parks and let my pet enjoy his walk.
