Seven people were injured when an SUV with four children inside collided with a van near Anchor Point Saturday, according to Alaska State Troopers.
Around 11 a.m. a northbound Ford Expedition SUV driven by Arwen Weisser, 29, of Homer, crossed the center line of the Sterling Highway near Mile 155 and sideswiped a southbound Pontiac Transport van in an "offset head-on crash," said a trooper report.
The 53-year-old van passenger, Dale Keefer, of Anchor Point, was taken to the South Peninsula Hospital with life-threatening injuries, troopers said. The van's driver, Richard Twing, 24, of Anchor Point, was taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
Weisser and the four children in the SUV had minor injuries and were all taken to the hospital, troopers said.
The investigation into the crash was ongoing and no further information was available.
