ACS boys throttle East

Anchorage Christian knocked off East 85-61 in a nonconference boys basketball game Thursday at ACS, landing four players in double figures.

Calvin Hoffman’s 20 points and Nate Simmers’ 18 led ACS, which took command early by storming to a 24-14 lead in the first quarter.

Immanuel Lopez added 16 points and Christiano Lopez 11 for the Lions.

Desmond Johnson poured in 24 points for East to lead all scorers, but 13 of them came in the fourth quarter when the game was all but over -- ACS led 61-37 after three quarters.

Eudy Gomez chipped in 19 points for the T-birds.
