Letter: Tennis plan scorns other needs

Timothy Murphy asks:

"Why not take funds slated for tennis courts or a new baseball stadium and spend just a fraction of those funds to build another shelter so these human beings have a fighting chance to simply survive the winter?"

C'mon, get your priorities straight! The mayor and his privileged friends are entitled to a tennis court in their neighborhood because they're more important and better than the rest of us! We should be happy and proud to pay for it!

You don't want to risk 'em being sassed by some ingrate from the huddled masses by coming into a poor neighborhood for their recreation, do you?

The homeless? Let 'em eat snow! And sleep in it.
