Girls basketball: Tuesday's results

Dimond 75, South 56

Tara Thompson's 19 points led four Lynx in double figures Tuesday night, and she added eight rebounds and six assists to spearheaded Dimond's girls basketball team to a 75-56 Cook Inlet Conference victory at South.

Thompson hit five of 11 3-pointers. Dejha Canty added 15 points and eight rebounds, Nikki Forrey contributed 14 points and six rebounds — all offensive, as the Lynx snared 25 offensive boards — and Rohyn Huss furnished 10 points and seven rebounds.

South's Sadie Hodgson scored a game-high 25 points, grabbed seven rebounds and dished four helpers.

West 68, East 51

Chanel Bookert buried 5 of her 6 3-pointers on the way to a game-high 30 points that lifted West's girls basketball team to a 68-51 CIC win over visiting East on Tuesday night.

Bookert also collected nine rebounds.

Tannae Voliva led East with 16 points and Taria Page added 11.

Chugiak 50, E. River 12

Carly Stone's game-high 12 points led nine Chugiak scorers Tuesday night, when the Mustangs handled visiting Eagle River, 50-12, in a CIC girls basketball game.

Anna Ingraham added nine points for Chugiak. Lauren Frost led the Wolves with seven points.

Bartlett 53, Service 32

Kiera Stokes scored 22 points, 16 of them in the second half, to pace Bartlett's girls basketball team to a 53-32 CIC win over visiting Service on Tuesday night.

Cheyenne Mann furnished the Golden Bears nine points.

Tatiyanna Venable led the Cougars with 12 points, including seven in the third quarter.

Wasilla 45, Palmer 40 OT

Shayla Johnson hit a pair of free throws with six seconds left in overtime to seal Wasilla's 45-40 win over host Palmer.

Johnson finished with a game-high 12 points and was joined in double figures by teammates McKenna Dinkel (11) and Cassidy Edwards (10).

Kalei DePriest (10 points, 14 rebounds) and Leya DePriest (11 points, 13 rebounds) posted double-doubles to lead Palmer, which was outscored 7-2 in overtime.
