Anchorage police have arrested a 22-year-old man sought in connection with a shooting at a house party in late December.

Gregory Fort was apprehended at a residence on North Bliss Street in Mountain View on Sunday, said Anita Shell, police spokeswoman.

"He was tracked down through a series of Crime Stopper tips that led us to his location in Mountain View," Shell said.

The shooting occurred on Dec. 28 just before 4 a.m. at a residence on the 2600 block of Easthaven Circle near the intersection of Boniface Parkway and E. Northern Lights Boulevard, police said.

The host of a party at the home asked Fort to leave, police said, when he became combative. Fort then called a friend.

"When Fort's friend arrived at the residence, the friend brandished a gun while making verbal threats," according to a Dec. 30 release from the Anchorage Police Department. "Fort took the gun from his friend and fired multiple shots at a crowd of people inside the residence."

A 20-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman were taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries, police said.

An arrest warrant for Fort was issued two days after the shooting. He was arraigned on two felony counts of first-degree assault Tuesday.
