Prep hockey: Friday's results

Service 4, Eagle River 3

Mike Stephens scored the game-winning goal with just under five minutes left in the game, lifting Service past Eagle River 4-3 in a Cook Inlet Conference hockey game at the McDonald Center.

Stephens scored on Tyler Miknich's second assist of the night. The goal was the lone third-period strike.

Eagle River led 2-1 after one period on goals by Jesse Johnson and Schuyler Davis. Miknich assisted on a shorthanded goal by Leo Karcz for Service that period.

The Cougars tied it in the second period with goals from Jake McVay and Miles Giorgione. Kyle Johnson answered for Chugiak to make it 3-3 going into the final period.

Angus Klancher recorded 19 saves for Service. Justin Lopez had 24 for Eagle River.

Dimond 10, Chugiak 3

Walker Hamilton and Aidan Teilborg scored hat tricks Friday at Ben Boeke Arena, powering Dimond's 10-3 Cook Inlet Conference hockey victory over Chugiak.

The Lynx scored three times on the power play, with two of those strikes coming in the first period when they charged to a 3-0 lead.

Also scoring for Dimond were Rutger Thiede, Blaine Thompson, Jordan Clevenger and Desmond Conley. Ashton Good stopped 15 shots for the Lynx.

Adam Growenduke, Sam Hanson and John Hammer supplied goals for the Mustangs, who got 25 saves from goalie Jack Straub.
