And we move on to the AHL to see how our Alaska connections are faring in that circuit one rung below the NHL.

Abbotsford Heat -- Erstwhile Alaska Aces and former UAA defenseman Kane Lafranchise is 0-5--5 and +5 in 14 games. Erstwhile Aces winger Evan Trupp of Anchorage is 1-0--1 and +1 in three games. Erstwhile Aces forward Jordan Kremyr is 0-0--0 and even in four games; and former Aces goaltender (very briefly to start this season) Joni Ortio is 17-4-0 with a 2.29 goals-against average, .923 save percentage and one shutout.

Adirondack Phantoms -- Former Aces defenseman Zack FitzGerald is 0-0--0 and -2 in 20 games, with 116 penalty minutes that rank 10th in the league.

Binghamton Senators -- Former UAA goaltender Nathan Lawson is 14-5-0 with a 2.52, .923 and one helper; former UAF defenseman Tyler Eckford is 0-3--3 and +5 in 25 games.

Bridgeport Sound Tigers -- Former UAA and Aces winger Justin Johnson of Anchorage is 1-2--3 and +1 in 30 games, with 154 penalty minutes to rank second on the circuit; former Aces forward Chris Bruton is 2-1--3 and -8 in 32 games; and former Aces center Chris Langkow is 1-6--7 and -8 in 30 games.

Chicago Wolves -- Former Aces defenseman David Shields is 5-6--11 and +6 in 38 games.

Hershey Bears -- Former Aces defenseman Patrick Wellar is 1-2--3 and +3 in 26 games.
