Doyle Woody,Adn Staff

One way of looking at the Kenai River Brown Bears' 4-3 shootout loss to the Wenatchee Wild tonight is that the Brown Bears got a point in the NAHL standings on a night they trailed by two goals approaching the final minute of regulation in Soldotna.

The Brown Bears got an extra-attacker goal from Zack Zulkanycz with 1:01 left and another extra-attacker strike from Sebastian Fuchs with just three seconds left to forge a 3-3 tie and force overtime.

Wenatchee won the shootout, 3-2.

Thursday, it was Wenatchee that scored an extra-attacker goal with 46 seconds left in regulation to force extra time and won 4-3 in a shootout. The Wild won the shootout 2-0.

The Fairbanks Ice Dogs fell 4-2 at Corpus Christi tonight, but the game wasn't quite that close. Corpus was up 4-0 in the third period before the Ice Dogs got on the board.
