This has been a strong season for former UAF goaltender Chad Johnson, and today he delivered another outstanding performance, one good enough to earn him his second career NHL shutout.
Johnson stopped 22 shots to backstop the Boston Bruins to a 4-0 win over the visiting Edmonton Oilers.
Johnson's win was his fourth straight and improved him to 10-3-0 with a 2.14 goals-against average and .923 save percentage.
Today's shutout came almost exactly year since Johnson's previous NHL bagel. Playing for the Phoenix Coyotes, he stopped 21 shots in a 4-0 win over visiting Nashville on Jan. 28, 2013.
