Dedication of artwork honoring Mary Troll set for Saturday

Dogblog note: Here's an event for dog lovers. It's a tribute to the late Mary Troll, set for Saturday at Providence Alaska Medical Center. Mary was the driving force behind the Pet Assisted Wellness Services Program at the hospital. She was a friend and a mentor, and my wife and I will be there with our two therapy dogs to pay respect to someone who left us all too soon.

The attached artwork by her brother, Ray, captures her spirit. She loved animals and she loved helping people.

To commemorate her dedication to the PAWS program, the family and friends of Mary Troll are also establishing The Mary Troll Memorial Endowment at the Providence Alaska Foundation to perpetuate the work of PAWS.

Please join us! Over a dozen PAWS teams will be offering compassionate canine connections in the Gallery before and after the ceremony. Per PAMC policy, Providence asks that all personal pets remain comfortably at home. Thank you for your thoughtful consideration -- we hope to see you there!
