A body was found just off a path near Ingra Street and E. Fireweed Lane Thursday evening, said Anchorage police.
At 4:49 p.m. a dog walker called police reporting the body lying near the intersection. The caller said the body was frozen, said Dani Myren, police spokeswoman.
Police are awaiting autopsy results. Myren said it's too early in the investigation to speculate on a cause of death.
The body was the second found in the Chester Creek Trail area in the past two weeks. The trail is just a few blocks away from where the man was found Thursday.
On Feb. 1, a woman also walking her dogs west of 19th Avenue and C Street, about a mile away, spotted the body of 39-year-old Thomas Evan lying in the creek and called police. The cause of death is still under investigation, according to police, although foul play is not suspected.
In December, two women were found dead from exposure just days apart.
