Girls basketball: Thursday's results

Dimond 53, South 39

Dimond jumped out to a 19-point lead at halftime en route to a 53-39 Cook Inlet Conference girls basketball win over visiting South on Thursday.

Tara Thompson scored a team-high 12 points for the Lynx, who had eight different scorers. Sabrina Ungaro (13 points) and Hailee Hodgsen (10) reached double figures for South.

Bartlett 51, Ser. 26

Damaiya Ward netted 12 points and Sheyenne Mann and Yevania Osborne scored 11 apiece to lead Bartlett past host Service 51-26.

Rebecca Hodson scored a team-high nine points for the Cougars. Alissa Nanez, Hailey Chavez and Tatiyanna Venable each added five.

West 57, East 46

The West Eagles remained undefeated Thursday with a 57-46 CIC win over East that ran their record to 21-0.

Marshala Eady's 26 points and 12 rebounds led the Eagles, who broke away in the fourth quarter. Fu'a Malaetia furnished 13 points and Chanel Bookert added 10.

Taria Page's 14 points and 11 rebounds and Dajah Motuga's 12 points fueled East.

Chugiak 56, Eagle River 36

A big game from Brandy Bookout carried Chugiak past Eagle River 56-36 in Thursday CIC action at Eagle River.

Bookout racked up 24 points and 11 rebounds for the Mustangs, who got 12 more points from Nicole Pinckney and 10 from Ashlynn Burgess.

Samantha Coy poured in 19 points for Eagle River.
