Rep. Drummond leaves session for family reasons

JUNEAU -- Medical issues are taking another lawmaker away from the legislative session underway in Juneau.

Rep. Harriet Drummond is back home in Anchorage, where a family member is undergoing medical tests, said Mark Gnadt, a spokesman for the House Democratic minority.

It's unclear how long she'll be away, he said in an email. More should be known by next week, he said.
