Letter: Did Keller study government?

After many years of disappointment I have finally come to expect our Oil Czar (Parnell) to sell our children's future (education) to his industry supporters, but to have our House Judiciary Committee advance a constitutional amendment to allow the state to support religious policy (education) is simply unfathomable.

If Rep. Wes Keller, the sponsor of HJR 1, went to high school in Alaska, he certainly must have taken a U.S. government class and at least have been introduced to the importance of the separation of church and state. Has anyone on the Judiciary Committee ever heard of Thomas Jefferson? Surely these people who represent us must read the newspapers and know that people are sacrificing their lives daily (Venezuela, Ukraine) to achieve the liberties our representatives in Alaska apparently want to give away.
