Former Alaska Aces defenseman Kane Lafranchise, who had been out since Jan. 11 (knee, we think), returned to the lineup for AHL Abbotsford tonight in a 4-3 shootout loss to visiting Grand Rapids.
Lafranchise assisted on the game-tying goal late in the third period. He had one shot on goal and an even rating, and now owns 0-6--6 totals and a +5 rating in 15 games for the Heat.
Erstwhile Aces goaltender Olivier Roy stopped 34 of 37 shots in regulation and OT, and six of eight in the shootout, which went extra innings. He's 4-2-1 with a 3.06 goals-against average and .912 save percentage.
