Tampa Bay Lightning center Nate Thompson of Anchorage scored a pair of goals Sunday in a 6-3 loss to Colorado that marked the second time in the last seven games he has delivered a two-goal performance.
He also has three goals in his last two games and 8-6--14 and +7 totals in 60 games this season. He's one goal shy of tying the career-high 10 he scored for Tampa Bay in 2010-11.
Defenseman Matt Carle of Anchorage assisted on Thompson's first goal Sunday to notch his 250th career NHL point. Carle owns 2-24--26 and +17 totals in 61 games.
