Update 6 p.m., Thursday: Rita Crane is alive and well, Anchorage police reports.

Previous story:

Police are looking for a 39-year-old Anchorage woman missing since last month.

Rita Crane was last seen Feb. 15 and reported missing five days later. Crane is described as an Alaska Native with brown eyes and black hair. She's 5 feet 1 inch tall and 150 pounds, said Jennifer Castro, an Anchorage police spokeswoman.

"We are putting out the release today because in our investigation follow up we were made aware that she may have a medical condition," Castro said. "We just want to make sure she is OK."

Castro said that in the past Crane has been seen at the Brother Francis Shelter, 1021 E. 3rd Ave, and in the downtown area.

Anyone with information on Crane's whereabouts should call police dispatch at 786-8900.
