A woman was shot in East Anchorage on Wednesday night, police said
The shooting was at a home on the 700 block of Klevin Street and reported to police at 7:33 p.m., said Jennifer Castro, an Anchorage police spokeswoman, in an email statement.
Emergency responders found the unidentified victim conscious and she was taken to an area hospital. The woman's injuries were not life-threatening, Castro said.
Police are still investigating and no one was in custody, she said.
No further information was available.
