The race for the ECHL's Brabham Cup is crazy close

Doyle Woody,Adn Staff

The ECHL's Brabham Cup as regular-season champion -- and that club gets home-ice advantage throughout the Kelly Cup playoffs -- will be determined by winning percentage this season.

The Alaska Aces, 4-2 winners over Bakersfield tonight, lead the league and are in search of an unprecedented fourth straight Brabham. No other club has even won consecutive Brabhams.

Still, the race is tight, tight, tight.

Here's where we sent at the end of this night:

Alaska Aces .684

Ontario Reign .664

Orlando Solar Bears .649

South Carolina Stingrays .647

Reading Royals .643

Kalamazoo Wings .640
