After getting off to a strong start for AHL Abbotsford, erstwhile Alaska Aces goaltender Olivier Roy has hit a rough patch for the Heat.
He gave up two goals on four shots in 14 minutes of a home start today against the Chicago Wolves and got the early hook in a 4-1 loss. Saturday, he gave up five goals on 33 shots before he was pulled in the third period of a 7-2 loss to the Wolves.
Roy is 4-5-1 with Abbotsford, with a 3.62 goals-against average and .894 save percentage.
Rough day all around for some erstwhile Aces. Winger Evan Trupp furnished the Heat an assist, but was -3.
