Aces: Connolly summoned to AHL Abbotsford again

Alaska Aces first-line winger Brendan Connolly has been recalled to AHL Abbotsford for the second time this season, according to AHL transactions.

Connolly, who owns 20-26--46 totals and a +13 rating in 46 games for the Aces, earlier did a three-game stint with Abbotsford.

His promotion weakens Alaska's depth heading into a three-game home series against Colorado that opens Thursday night at Sullivan Arena. On the other hand, the promotion is obviously good news for Connolly.

Connolly plays left wing on the first line with captain/center Nick Mazzolini and right wing Peter Sivak. Those three all have scored at least 20 goals. So, someone gets the chance to play with Mazzolini and Sivak, which is a pretty good gig.
