Looks like we can can now call 6-foot-5 Gerald Coleman the short Alaska Aces goaltender -- according to ECHL transactions, the club is adding 6-6 goalie Connor Knapp to its roster.
Knapp, who was with ECHL Florida, has been assigned to the Aces from NHL Buffalo.
In any event, Knapp, 23, has split time this season between Greenville and Florida, and is a combined 9-12-5 with a 2.61 goals-against average and .918 save percentage. He played college hockey at Miami (Ohio) and was a sixth-round pick of the Sabres in 2009. He played seven games in the AHL last season.
Presumably, this move will mean back-up Alex Kangas gets either released or moved.
