Municipality, Home Depot form partnership to help community become disaster resilient

New Community Partnership Formed

The Municipality of Anchorage, Office of Emergency Management is proud to announce its new community partnership with Home Depot.  The goal of this partnership is to help the Anchorage community become disaster resilient.  Through this partnership Home Depot will be hosting Earthquake Mitigation Clinics, in commemoration of the 1964 Good Friday Earthquake at all three of their Anchorage locations:

•400 Rodeo Place, 276-2006

•515 E. Tudor Road, 563-9800

•1715 Abbott Road, 644-9012

Earthquakes can strike suddenly without warning at any time of the day or night and at any time of the year.  Research shows that most injuries during an earthquake are a result of people being hit by falling objects and shattered glass, rather than from collapsed buildings.

Join us for these free clinics, where Anchorage residents can find inexpensive ways to mitigate against earthquakes:

•Saturday, March 15th

•Saturday, March 22nd

•Saturday, March 29th.

Call for times.
