Alaska Aces winger Brendan Connolly, summoned to AHL Abbotsford for the second time this season, tonight scored his first AHL goal in 19 career games in that circuit, which helped erstwhile Aces goaltender Olivier Roy and company bag a 3-1 win over visiting Utica.
Connolly had three shots on goal and was +1. Roy stopped 27 shots and picked up an assist on an empty-net goal. Long-time Aces defenseman Kane Lafranchise, who started the season in Alaska but has spent most of it with Abbotsford, also had an assist.
