Summerhays and Notre Dame knock off No. 2 Boston College

Steve Summerhays and Notre Dame today knocked No. 2-ranked Boston College out of the Hockey East quarterfinals -- Summerhays stopped 30 shots in a 4-2 win in decisive Game 3 at B.C.

Summerhays improved to 21-12-2 with a 1.95 goals-against average and .928 save percentage, and helped snuff Hobey Baker favorite Johnny Gaudreau's 31-game point streak. Gaudreau leads the nation's scorers with 32-37--69 totals in 37 games. He has 12 more points than any other player and three more goals than anyone else.

Notre Dame, ranked No. 11, advances to play UMass-Lowell in a Hockey East semifinal Friday in Boston.
