As expected, the Tampa Bay Lightning just announced they have signed UAF center Cody Kunyk, the WCHA's Player of the Year.
The Lightning said they signed Kunyk, 23, of Sherwood Park, Alberta, to a one-year, two-way deal.
Kunyk delivered 22-21--43 totals in 37 games this season, including a four-game game against UAA.
In 148 career games, he went 60-73--133.
UPDATE: According to the Tampa Bay Times, Kunyk's deal is for the rest of this season, and then he will be a restricted free agent.
