Defenseman Kayla Parsons and forward Elle Kadel, both of Fairbanks, wrapped their college careers at Norwich today with a 9-2 loss to host Plattsburgh in the NCAA Division III women's championship game in New York.
Parsons and Kadel played in four NCAA tournaments, winning a title as freshmen and finishing runner-up as sophomores and seniors.
Kadel had an assist today and was +1 -- no small thing in a game in which there were zero power-play goals -- and in 68 career games finished with 5-12--17 totals.
Parsons was -3 today, but earned 0-18--18 totals in 31 games this season. In 111 career games, she put up 16-52--68 totals.
