The Kenai River Brown Bears kept their hopes of qualifying for the NAHL playoffs alive with tonight's 4-2 win over the visiting Fairbanks Ice Dogs, who clinched the league title with their 3-2 shootout win over Kenai River in Soldotna on Friday.

Kenai's win -- Adam Kresl scored two goals, Kris Oldham stopped 31 shots and our man Tyler Andrews delivered the empty-net clincher -- gives the Brown Bears 64 points with two regular-season games left, both next weekend at Fairbanks. The Coulee Region Chill have 62 points with three games left, all at home next week.

Kenai River and Coulee Region are battling for the fourth and final playoff spot out of the Midwest Division. Kenai River will head into Friday's game at Fairbanks knowing exactly where it stands because Coulee Region plays Thursday night.
