Couple NAHL notes to pass along now that the regular season is over the playoffs are ready to drop -- the Fairbanks Ice Dogs entertain the Kenai River Brown Bears in Game 1 of a best-of-5, first-round series in the Golden Heart City on Friday night.
Anyhow, Kenai River forward Alec Butcher of Anchorage won the league scoring title and led the circuit in assists too with 24-42--66 totals in 60 games. He was +20.
Fairbanks defenseman Nick Hinz went +40 in 59 games to lead the league in that category.
And Ice Dogs forward Lonnie Clary was named the Midwest Division's Player of the Week after racking three goals and a helper, and going +3, in a two-game sweep of the Brown Bears. In 55 regular-season games, he went 13-22--35 and +26.
