State offers 422 land parcels for sale at discounted price
(Anchorage, AK) – The Department of Natural Resources is pleased to announce the listing of 422 parcels in a Special Discount Auction, with minimum bids of 30 percent below the appraised value. This is the first time in many years that DNR has offered land for auction below the appraised value. Bidders may purchase up to four parcels in this auction.
These parcels are located in four remote subdivisions west of the Susitna River: High Mountain Lakes; Kahiltna Flats; Kutna Creek; and Shell Lake North.
Alaska residents may submit sealed bids in person, by mail, or online between now and 5 p.m. May 7. Apparent high bids will be announced the following week.
Free brochures describing the parcels and how to participate are available at DNR’s Public Information Centers in Anchorage and Fairbanks and the DNR Land Counter in Juneau. The brochure may be viewed online at http://landsales.alaska.gov along with other DNR Land Sales offerings.
