Troopers: Anchorage jail inmate found dead in cell

A 20-year-old man was found dead in his cell at the Anchorage jail on Friday, according to an Alaska State Troopers dispatch.

Davon Mosley, in jail for a California warrant, was found "alone and unresponsive" in his cell by corrections officers.

No foul play is suspected, troopers spokeswoman Beth Ipsen said.

The death was reported at 1:48 p.m. on Friday to the Alaska Bureau of Investigation's Major Crimes Unit, which investigates deaths in jails and prisons.

Troopers did not release the cause of death pending an autopsy by the State Medical Examiner's office.
