A 29-year-old Wasilla man was killed in a collision between a motorcycle and a Jeep Wrangler on Bogard Road Saturday night, the Alaska State Troopers said.

Troopers received a report of the accident at about 10:06 p.m., according to a trooper dispatch posted online.

According to the statement from troopers, Cameron R. MacDonald of Wasilla was riding a 1980 Yamaha motorcycle westbound on Bogard Road when the vehicle collided head-on with a 2012 Jeep Wrangler driven by Ross A. Forys, 20, of Wasilla, near the intersection of North Caribou Street, troopers said.

"MacDonald did not survive the collision," the dispatch said.

As of Sunday afternoon troopers were still investigating the incident and hadn't determined what caused the crash, said AST spokeswoman Beth Ipsen.

This is a developing story. Please check back for details.
