Gotta like the resolve of the Kenai River Brown Bears, who faced playoff elimination Wednesday night and responded with a 4-3 victory over the visiting Fairbanks Ice Dogs to extend the first-round NAHL playoff series to a decisive Game 5 Saturday night in Fairbanks.

The Brown Bears got two goals from Albin Karlsson, and goals from Matt Rudin and Jacob Davidson. The also got 28 saves from goaltender Kris Oldham of Anchorage, and two assists each from Alec Butcher of Anchorage, Sebastian Fuchs and Zack Zulkanycz.

With the series tied 2-2, the pressure shifts to the Ice Dogs, the regular-season champions who went 13-3-0 against the Brown Bears in the regular season.
