Anchorage’s Margot and Victoria Adams were two of six UAF swimmers named to the College Swimming Coaches Association of America's All-American team Friday.
The Adams sisters helped set four UAF records during the NCAA Division II championships last month. Both swam legs of three record-setting relays, 400 freestyle, 400 medley and 200 medley, and Victoria set an individual Nanooks record in the 200 IM.
Margot, a junior, earned five All-American finishes during the season’s final meet, increasing her career total to 10. Victoria racked up six All-American finishes in her freshman campaign.
All-American honors go to the top eight athletes in each event at the NCAA championships with honorable mention recognition going to those who place ninth through 16th.
