Impressive honors today for former UAF center Cody Kunyk and Nanooks defenseman Colton Parayko -- they were voted CCM West 2nd-Team All-Americans by the American Hockey Coaches Association.
Kunyk led the Nanooks in goals and points with 22-21--43 totals in 37 games. He signed with the NHL's Tampa Bay Lightning. Hasn't played in an NHL game yet. Kunyk was the WCHA's Player of the Year and a first-team pick, and the circuit's scoring champion. So, he's pretty good at hockey.
Parayko, a third-round St. Louis Blues, was the WCHA Defensive Player of the Year and a first-team pick after racking 7-19--26 totals in 37 games. He's 6-5, 218 -- looks like he has the goods to be an NHLer.
