Idaho Steelheads winger William Rapuzzi of Anchorage, voted onto the ECHL's All-Rookie Team last week, today was named the circuit's Rookie of the Year.
Rapuzzi led the Steelheads in scoring with 16-42--58 totals in 60 games.
He was honored in a vote of league coaches, broadcasters, media relations directors and media.
Finishing second was former Aces goaltender Laurent Brossoit, who played briefly for them before an NHL trade landed him with the Bakersfield Condors. Brossoit tied a league record with eight shutouts.
