Fairbanks Ice Dogs defenseman Wyatt Ege, a UAA recruit, scored three goals in 59 regular-season games for the NAHL team.
Saturday night, he scored his fourth playoff goal in just seven games.
Ege's goal helped the Ice Dogs beat visiting Wenatchee 4-2 and even the Midwest Division finals series, a best-of-5 deal, at 1-1. Game 3 is Monday in Fairbanks.
Jacob Hetz furnished Fairbanks one goal and one helper, and Russ Olsson and Nick Hinz added goals. Kevin Aldridge stopped 18 shots for Fairbanks.
