More than 50 representatives from nine states met in Utah recently to discuss turning over federal lands to the states. Alaska was not one of them. Alaska is 11th in percentage of land held by the feds but first in acreage.
The Salt Lake Tribune covered this. The nine states are: Utah, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, Wyoming, Oregon and Washington. This is a mix of red and blue states.
