R&M Consultants adds three staff members

R&M CONSULTANTS, INC. (R&M) is pleased to announce the addition of three staff members to our Anchorage office team:

Chad Weiler, PLS joined R&M's Land Surveying Group as a Senior Land Surveyor in February 2014. Chad has more than 15 years of experience in all facets of field and office surveying. He has been responsible for planning and execution of field surveys, collecting field data, taking detailed field notes, reducing data and preparing final deliverables ranging from project control summaries to final mapping. Chad has performed many "field to final mapping" surveys for control, design and construction. Since joining the R&M team, he has been performing surveying and mapping for the Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities Central Region Fall Flood Permanent Repairs at multiple sites on the Kenai Peninsula and within the Matanuska-Susitna Borough. Chad holds a B.S. in Geomatics from the University of Alaska Anchorage. He is a professional land surveyor registered in Alaska.

Trevor Hudson joined R&M in March 2014 as a Geologist in our Earth Sciences Department. He has three years of experience in geology and is experienced in geologic mapping, soil sampling and testing, field data collection and reporting, stream sediment sampling and geophysical surveying. Since joining R&M, Trevor has been involved with Materials Site Inventory, Site Inspections and Geological Investigations for the Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities Statewide Materials Section. He holds a B.S. in Geology from the University of Alaska Anchorage and an A.A.S. in General Studies from Lord Fairfax Community College.

Steven Lewis, PE joined R&M in March 2014 as a Project Engineer in our Waterfront Engineering Group. Steven has more than seven years of experience in civil and waterfront engineering. He has worked on port and coastal projects throughout Alaska, including Seward, Ouzinkie, Kodiak, Port Lions, Ketchikan, Valdez and Cordova. He is experienced in planning, designing, assessing and overseeing construction and maintenance of port and coastal structures and facilities. Since joining the R&M team, Steven has been involved in the Seward Marine Terminal Expansion for the Alaska Railroad Corporation and Municipal Harbor Facilities Planning for the City of Valdez. He holds a M.S. in Coastal Engineering and a B.S. in Civil Engineering, both from the University of Alaska Anchorage. He is a professional civil engineer registered in Alaska and is an Alaska Certified Erosion & Sediment Control Lead.
