NAHL report: Triple OT anguish for Fairbanks Ice Dogs

Doyle Woody,Adn Staff

The NAHL's Midwest Division finals between the Fairbanks Ice Dogs and Wenatchee Wild will go to a decisive fifth game Saturday night after the Wild tonight scored 21 seconds into triple overtime for a 3-2 win in Washington that evened the series 2-2.

Tuomi's power-play goal came on the German's game-high 10th shot on goal.

Ice Dogs goaltender Kevin Aldridge stopped 56 shots and Wenatchee's Chase Perry made 42 saves.

The game lasted 100 minutes, 21 seconds.

As my co-worker Mike Nesper immediately chirped, pretty safe to say neither team's going to have a morning skate Saturday before the series-deciding game that determines which club heads to the Robertson Cup.
