Softball roundup: Friday's scores

South 11, Service 0 

Rachel White and Danni Desjarlais combined for seven strikeouts and allowed a total of three hits to lead South past Service 11-0 in Cook Inlet Conference softball action Friday at Albrecht Fields. 

Tristan Tolan had a pair of extra-base hits, including a two-run double for the Wolverines, who got an RBI from Taylor Lawson. 

Lily Kagan, Sarah Benfield and Kieara Caldarera provided hits for Service. 


East 10, Homer 1

East made quick work of non-conference Homer, winning 10-1 in four innings Friday at Albrecht. Taria Page went 2 for 2 with two RBIs and scored three runs for the T-birds, who got a pair of hits from Morgan Hill and Sydney Smith. 


East 11, West 1

Two T-birds smacked home runs to help East to a lopsided 11-1 conference win over West on Friday at Albrecht. 

Alexis Joubert and Lauren Yow both went yard for East, which got a five-inning, complete-game effort from pitcher Sydney Smith, who fanned five. 

Devonee Troutman hit a triple and scored West’s lone run.
