Only two playoff games tonight in the ECHL, and both went to OT, and one of them proved epic -- a triple OT game fits that bill.
Greenville's Kyle Jean scored his second goal of the game 4:02 into triple OT for a 4-3 win over Kalamazoo that gives Greenville a 3-2 lead in the best-of-7 series. Jeff Malcolm stopped 53 shots for the Road Warriors and Jordan Binnington made 62 saves for the K-Wings.
The game was the 11th longest in the 26 season history of the league.
Also in the Eastern Conference, Orlando's Eric Baier scored in extra time to furnish a 3-2 win at Cincinnati and keep the Solar Bears harboring a comeback of a monumental sort. Cincy won the first three games in the series, but the Solar Bears have won the last two.
